Capturing all of your fingerprints typically takes about 10 to 20 minutes from the time we call you.

Carthage FingerpriNTS & More conducts both ink and live scan appointments.

The ink we use comes off quickly with a wipe. Antibacterial wipes are provide after the fingerprint capture.

Live scan fingerprinting doesn't use ink. You only need to touch a clean piece of glass to capture your fingerprints. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows us to recapture your fingerprint until we achieve the best possible set of prints for each card. Additionally, we offer traditional ink fingerprinting upon request.

We use the term "hard-cards" for the documents where digitally scanned fingerprints are printed. They hold the same validity as traditional ink fingerprints.

Yes and no. Live scan fingerprinting isn’t networked and cannot be transmitted between states, except for Florida. In such cases, we fingerprint you and provide fingerprint cards that you can send into the requesting state or agency. They will then scan the cards into their system for processing.

Many agencies and programs accept electronically submitted fingerprints for occasions such as adoption and obtaining a firearm permit. FBI Channeling is an expedited method for obtaining a personal FBI background check. FBI Channelers, who are authorized contractors, transmit digital fingerprints to the FBI and receive FBI criminal history record information (CHRI) for authorized noncriminal justice purposes.

Carthage Fingerprints and More is registered with a FBI Channeler to perform and transmit your fingerprints for expedited services.

Sending fingerprints to an FBI Channeler expedites your FBI background check request. Typically, you receive electronic results within 24 to 48 business hours. Tamper-proof copies can be sent via Regular Mail, Priority Mail, or FedEx Overnight. Direct submissions to the FBI take 15 to 20 days to process, with results sent via USPS First Class Mail.

We can fingerprint you and request a copy of your criminal records check on your behalf via our FBI Channeler. The report will be sent to your personal email within 24 to 48 business hours.

We cannot provide a refund on services rendered or no call/no show appointments, due to processing fees incurred upon submission.

However, we do offer refunds for appointments cancelled at least three (3) hours in advance and in extenuating circumstances, subject to review. Additionally, in the event of a rejection, we offer a one-time complimentary refingerprinting service. To utilize this service, a valid rejection letter must be provided, and we ask that you contact our office to schedule.
